Re: Crash on Steam/OSX

It looks like one of the files getting deployed to OSX on Steam is borked (launcher script, specifically). We’re working to get this fixed, but in the meantime you can manually replace the contents of the following file: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/spacechem/SpaceChem.app/Contents/MacOS/SpaceChem with the contents of the following file: http://www.zachtronicsindustries.com/spacechem-launcher.txt and then, if it still crashes, running [...]

ResearchNet live on Steam

We had some hiccups earlier (specifically, widespread client crashes), but those should now be straightened out. If you play the game on Steam, log in and your client will be updated automagically to version 1007, which includes ResearchNet and the Steam-only goodies. We’ll be deploying the ZI store installers sometime in the next 24 hours.

RESEARCHNET IS UPON US

Well, almost. Installers for the update should be hitting the ZI store tomorrow, with updates pushing out on Steam (including some fantastic Steam-only features) hopefully around the same time. Re: “This is SpaceChem!” Contest

As it turns out, five seconds was a bit too short for the This is Spacechem! contest. Because of this, the deadline for entries will be extended to May 1st, 2011 and the maximum duration of an entry will be extended to 60 seconds. Hopefully this will work better!
